It's a very nice park for walking around, picnics, scenery and playing some sort of an outdoor activity. It's also a very nice place if you want some nice pictures taken. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there's nothing really for...More

A very lovely park...for a stroll...to network and bond with family and friends...or just to sit and rest a bit!

My lofty goal of visting 40 NC state parks brought me here. It is a new park and I assume has some future plans. Not much here. However, there is a nice 2 mile loop trail.

Visited with a group from Leadership Rockingham. Nice shelter for family gatherings. Beautiful area by the river. Nice access for kayaking and tubing on the river. The staff is knowledgable on the nature surroundings and there to help!

There is a short trail around the lake, and a loop trail in the woods about 1.5 miles. The trails are easy and well maintained.
