Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wonderful tribute and acknowledgement of Dale Sr's accomplishments and honors. While the museum is free to visit, hours are sporadic. Check the DEI facebook page or call for the hours and times to visit.
This was one of many stops to various NASCAR museums and tours in the Charlotte area. I was disappointed to see that while the interior is beautifully maintained, the exterior is not. Had we not known in advance what the DEI buildings looked like, we could have easily passed by the location. For a driver of his caliber, I expected more upkeep and maintenance, and I definitely expected the museum to be open more often than it is.
The gift shop was fun and the lady who checked us out could not have been sweeter.

It was almost surreal going to DEI with my wife, son and Mother in Law. Here we were in the home of the Intimidator.
It was a special moment for me. My mother in law has an entire loft of her home dedicated to Dale Sr.
It was nice to have the opportunity to bring her and my son to DEI because he got to see the reason why his grandmother is such a diehard fan.
Thanks for preserving this memory and for giving me and my family a new memory to share forever!!!!

My son and I stopped by Dale's shop while in Mooresville and we really enjoyed the visit. The museum is not real big compared to some of the others but if you are/were a fan of Dale Sr you need to stop by. There are a lot of race cars that ran under the DEI banner including Dale Jr, Michael and others. Dale's life history is covered pretty good along with other family members. There is a gift shop that carries a lot of Earnhardt items.

Sure it's nice seeing the old shop, nice to see the memorabilia. I just cannot get past what Teresa did do the business. This place used to be hustle and bustle. Used to be hundreds of employees working on race cars. She absolutely ruined that and now what do we have? Cars on display in the shop where cars are supposed to be built. Absolutely sick and pathetic.

As you enter the doors of DE Inc, you see the #3 car....majestic, awe inspiring and it leaves you silent because he really was the man...the Intimidator....You walk slowly, in silence as you see races ran over monitors, cars from these races, and you get a glimmer of the life he led. This is a must see if you are a fan of Dale Sr and Dale Jr......in our eyes and hearts, there is no better!!!

A nice tribute to the man. Pretty nice retail store as well. The young lady working the store was wonderful and we met several other Nascar fans while we were there.

We wanted so much to visit but they were closed. Only open Thursday through Saturday for a few hours. We drive by anyway to look. It’s a beautiful place. Just being there was enough. I took a picture of the highway 3 sign with the building in the background. I peeked in the window and took a great picture of one of Dale’s cars.

What is the cost of admission? Can't find it on their website or in any reviews.
Written 30 March 2015
There is NO admission charge to DEI or Jr Nation. Be cautious with DEI as they are only open for limited days and hours.
PS--Most race shops are free admissions--the Museum costs extra.
