They sell licenses here. A nice gift shop for the size of the place. Maps, framed local artwork, fiction and nonfiction books about the area; Christmas ornaments, magnets. Very friendly. Public bathroom too.

Shows a lot of the islands history. It was highly recommended by friends who lives on the island, and although small, it did not disappoint us. Check it out!

It doesn’t take very long for a visit to this center. But the info available was appropriate to help get you on your way and the staff person was friendly.

The visitor center is combined with the off-road driving permit office. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. There are free maps and brochures and a gift shop.

Decent visitor's center just as you get off the ferry. Sells some t-shirts and other basic souvenirs.

This center is at the far end of Ocracoke and is far from the ferry docks. If we had taken bicycles, we would have had to make a serious effort to get to the center. We found information about the island, but half of the...More

No ferry involved coming from the mainland. Only time you would need to catch a ferry is if you were coming from Ocracoke way to the South.
