Great ideas, terrible service
Jul 2021
Incredible items to browse. Creative people come. Negative is nothing is priced? So you had to find someone. We went at lunch time and all the employees quit and had lunch…no one on the floor to assist. Seemed like a sure bad idea…we heard lots of customers complaining. But if do do go to explore this place just don’t go around lunch time! So much to enjoy

Another a 'Must Stop'!! Good antiques and 'other' items!! A lot of items to go through everywhere!! Will go back. Just don't have prices on items - which is a good thing and also a bad thing.

Wish I had a bigger house!

So many cool things to see...I wish I had a bigger house to add items from this store!! I did not give it a 5 because purchased from here several years ago and had to pay a restocking when I returned an item. It was a light fixture from a submarine that did not fit in my space. I would have appreciated information on their return policy at the time of purchase and not when I returned it.

A must see in Western North Carolina

A great place to visit featuring recycled Architectual and Nautucal items from around the globe. This is truly an interesting place with a huge inventory, all great for decorating interior or exterior, from a restaurant, Hotel, theme park or a private home or club. Plan a couple hours as there is so many items to see.
It is located South of Franklin NC and a few miles just North of the Georgia State line on 441. I highly recommend this place for the retail buyer or the wholesale vendor. So many things at reasonable prices. It is very entertaining and fun to look for that special treasure.

Lots Of Goodies

Great architectural salvage place, lots of goodies to be found here. Biggest drawback is it's about seven hours from where I live. Always come home with at least one treasure.

Amazing Place not only to look but to find one of a kind pieces for your home.

First impression was like a kid in a candy shop, so many amazing pieces with such great patina and history, their original lightworks make me drool. I love the way this place is set up. We purchased our reclaimed Hickory Hardwood floors at $2 a sqft. Amazing they are so beautiful. They also had other options for more. David is amazing, so helpful, easy to talk to and always very upbeat and positive. Even our 5 year old son loves walking around and checking everything out. This place is magical.

Unique items. Knife store is also worth visiting if you are into knives..Knife store is located in a beautiful vintage school house. The stone work on the school is an example of beautiful local stones done with expert craftsmanship. Tons of unique items in the store located on Highway 441. Stop by just to look or find that vintage item you need to decorate with.

Still top notch!

Great selection of some very unique stuff! We bought a ton of stuff from them when we were remodeling our basement a couple years back, a corner brace beam from an old warehouse that I made into a mantle, some Granite Remnants that I used for a hearth stone and a work surface behind the bar, A ships Porthole that is mounted on the wall adjacent the bar that I display a bottle of (what else) Port. Plus a bunch other small stuff and we only spent about $200! Great prices, unique selection and a very interesting building all make for a great experience. Must stop if you are in the area. Just a note, they are closed on Sundays and Mondays so keep that in mind.

Great architectural pieces!

Came across Culpepper's Otto Depot a few years back on one of our many trips to and from North Caroline. We fell in love with all the cool pieces! We made a headboard from some old folding doors that we purchased. Stopped in today and picked up some wood to make a sliding barn door. The owner is always friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back!
