The wines are amazing, well balanced & complex but La La was the best host a .She could tell you all about the wines plus add a cute bit of humor & personality in the presentation. Even though the wines are outstanding, She is the reason we'll be back!

During our stay at Fearrington House Inn, north of Pittsboro, NC, we added in a day of wine tastings, in the area. SilkHope Winery was our first stop, and what a stop it was! First, it is not far from Pittsboro, or Fearrington House Inn, but it IS “off the beaten path,” on SilkHope - Gum Springs Road, though not... More

What a marvelous time! Cake and hors d'oeuvres provided by family and friends. The Silk Hope Winery Hostess was absolutely the Mostest!! Welcoming and funny and very knowledgeable about their wines. We all felt their joy and love for the wines they produce. I definitely look forward to visiting again!!

It's a rustic, quiet little place at the top of a hill. The owner is a cool ole coger who's very attentive and at the ready to provide all the samples you want. We left with several bottles and have been back to restock. Beautiful country and a great drive, although I may be a bit bias since I live... More

Its not a fancy place but we enjoyed our visit. Lala kept us giggling the whole time and the owner was great to talk with. We tried a very long list of their wines. The whites were good but the reds are what you want to try. His reds were very smooth, not spikey and I was very impressed. Even... More

We've been to quite a few wineries over the year, and Silk Hope is truly unique. It's casual to an extreme, out in the country. You see the sign (it's a bit vintage, in and of itself) and you drive up an incline that makes you wonder if you found a misplaced foothill. At the crest, there are few utilitarian... More

We have been many times over the past six years. Wally is very personable and knowledgeable. Award winning red, white and blended wines. We always return with a case.

We have been there several times and have always had a good time. Has one of the largest varieties of wine in the area, and probably the largest non-sweet selection in the area also. I think we had 17 different wines at the last tasting. My wife is a "dry reds" type person , and we brought more home from... More

Was quite pleased to be given a tasting by the winemaker, who was friendly and knowledgeable and eager to talk the science of winemaking a bit. Lots of interesting options, including a white merlot and a few rose wines. Definitely some good wines here, and lots of variety - something to please everyone! Definitely not to be missed! I believe... More

This winery is certainly not nearly the fanciest place you'll ever see, but for a wine newbie like myself, it was a really fun and friendly place to learn about wine tasting. The owner is really outgoing and puts everyone at ease, and it was a very comfortable environment as far as feeling like I could ask questions. I certainly... More
