I live nearby. Deals Gap and the Dragon are first of all, a must do for (most) every motorcyclist - and watch out for the brain numb 18-wheelers that truly believe it's a shortcut for them. Second, there are many many additional roads in the...More

We drove our VW Beetle on this trip into the Smokies, so we thought we'd take the scenic route. Well it wasn't exactly what we'd hoped. Partly because we did a great portion of the drive in the dark, it wasn't much fun, mostly tiresome,...More

Sport bike heaven. Awesome road/highway. Avoid it on the weekends as it's just slow Harley guys and cops. This is a bucket list road for anyone on two wheels. Ride it once up/down before you start cracking the throttle cause this dragon can bite.

What a place to ride a motorcycle or a sports car. it's always crowded and very dangerous if not careful. Give it a whirl.

Don't be scared. Ride within your means. There are plenty of pulloffs if you have a jerk behind you. Try to go during the week. Less crowded and more enjoyable.
