The bridge is not so interesting and beautiful as you think when you look at drone photos in the internet. And if you buy a ticket for the glass bridge you will cross it and come down from the other side of the cliff. We visited both sides and the stairs in the narrow gorge between rocks is really breathtaking and great for shooting. But after crossing the bridge you will just go down the hill. It is easier physically but not interesting mentally.
The glass bridge is not fully glass made. Just with glass panels. So we think you will not be satisfied with photos and emotions.

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge was previously the longest glass bridge in the world, but unfortunately, a different bridge in China took that title.

This is one of the must to do activities in Zhangjiajie. Aside from the glass bridge, you go down via zip line and slide which is an awesome experience. For the brave at heart there's a bungee jumping facility in the middle of the glass bridge 😱

A must do on your list even for the faint at heart. There are sides metal platforms that you can walk on instead of the glass. Very safe and the views below are awesome. Something to definitely will remember. Must purchase a ticket prior to walking on bridge.

yes it's very touristy but we had so much fun taking videos and photos. Camera's are banned in case we drop them and crack the glass. Thankfully phones are allowed. The glass was a lot cleaner than the Tianmen Mountain skywalk. We loved how we could take the slide down the mountain afterwards!

张家界玻璃桥,高度大挑战!it was a most memorable walk across the famously frightening Glass Bridge.

After that, we trekked down the steep mountains into the Grand Canyon 大峡谷,and enjoyed the long walk through mother nature, albeit in simmering heat of 33 deg C.

Awesome views and some thrilling adventures available including bungee jumping which was awesome. Just remember to pay for tickets if you want to add things such as the zip line.

The place is actually made of several activities. It starts of course with the glass bottom bridge but soon after you will have access to the zip line and the slide track (toboggan).
Once at the bottom you have a little tour on a boat (very short tour) and then a walk in the canyon following the river.

I personally think the walk by the river is the nicest thing here.

A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW:

1. Camera (I mean real cameras) are not allowed on the glass bottom bridge.

2. Don't bring a big bag (like a camera bag) if you intend to do the zip line.

3. If you are short on time and have to chose between the glass bottom bridge, Zhangjiajie park and Tianmen mountain, then DEFINITELY drop the glass bottom bridge. It is for sure a nice thing to do but it is NOT nearly as good nor authentic as the 2 others.

4. If it's raining prioritize the bridge over Zhangjiajie and the mountain as it will impact a lot less your visit.

Not worth it. Not challenging at all. Boring. Not scared. It only take five minutes to walk over the bridge. Don't recommend.
