Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This beautiful little village is at the Gateway to Zhangjiajie National Park. I definitely recommend staying here over the town of Zhangjiajie - it's around 40kms from ZJJ & has a much nicer feel to it. This village is rapidly expanding due to the popularity of the area. Restaurants, bars, boutiques are rapidly being built however it still has the village feel - for how long I'm not too sure. We stayed at the Pullman Hotel (see other review). Great local restaurants & local Chinese massage saved our legs from falling off !!

Just like the movie Avatar except it was cooler and rainy. Plenty of food aggressive monkeys, so do not bring any food. A lot of walking so have comfortable runner soled shoes and be ready for long hikes.. Avoid peak seasons when locals are on holiday and summer. The crowds I am told are large..

This review is just for the city... Not the amazing surrounds and national park attractions. Really it's just a city.... Shops, traffic and noise. Like most Chinese cities. However a bit less kept than the major ones. We stayed outside the cbd near the train and bus station and gondola station. It was very nice being in the suburbs and getting to know our local shop owner and restaurant owners. The city.... Is just a city
