It is located near the airport. With huge area, becareful u will get lost in here. Tianmen mountain has the longest cable car (about 30 minutes ride), and glass sky walk, plus 999 steps to the top and 99 turns road. It is a must to visit this place if you are in zhangjiajie. Becareful if u bring elder people... More

Our guide, Bruce Tian (highly recommended), allocated a little more than a half day to visiting Tianmen Mountain, and it was definitely worth it. I think we managed to cover all the highlights of the mountain from late morning till evening. The cable car up the mountain is actually the longest cable car ride in the entire world, but we... Scary glass trail which takes lots of effort and courage to walk on. You can do a circuit hiking on the man-made traik around the mountain. When the weather is good, it is a very nice walking.

We really enjoyed it here but don't go on a weekend if you don't like many people! We traveled in the low season but on a Sunday- it was SO busy compared to any other time of the week. And definitely hike the stairs!! It's worth it.

We decided to visit this place on December 31st, 2016. The thrilling cliff-hanging walkway and glass skywalk was beautiful and clean and stunning. The world's longest cable car ride was so amazing, we did enjoy riding. Unfortunately, 'Heaven's Door' and the 99 Bends, vertical cliffs was closed.

A great experience, you go up by bus an elevator and down by cable car or vice versa. Fantastic scenery and unusual to be able to walk around the top of a mountain. Glass walkways makes the experience even more stunning.

We were informed that Heaven's Gate and the glass walkways were closed due to the weather, but we came this far so we decided to ride the cable car to the top, and glad we did. We experienced an amazing 20 minute ride up to the top of Tianmen mountain. We left the city, where you board the cable car... More

It was much more. The cable car ride itself is amazing. The views were amazing. It's crazy to think about the construction for the escalators and the walkways. If you go in winter watch for ice. Everything here has rails but at some parts someone decided it would be a good idea to lay down wood floors outdoors. Well when... More

Reviewers might find my title overblown but when you put it into perspective that China used human power to carve roads and shaped Nature into meaningful shapes and forms, you know that this is not as crazy as it sounds. This place arguably has the longest cable ride in the world and need I say, the steepest cable ride climb... More
