The Canyon is interesting because the glass bridge

I am not sure the Canyon would be known if Mr. Haim Dotan had not constructed there his marvelous bridge. Must see!

The glass bridge was great...but not as impressive as I had expected. Apparently they have a 500 person limit on the bridge at any one time...rubbish! Apparently they only sell a certain number of tickets a day...rubbish! The bridge was jam packed with people (mostly Chinese tourists). There were queues upon queues to get a ticket and then to get... More

Not only its attractive landscape - which it is scenic and picturesque - everything you can possibly imagine in a fairy-tale setting - is the must-visit to the world's new record of the longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge in Zhangjiajie! A real challenge for the faint-hearted! The trip is worth a million memories!

The views are lovely and the boat was "authentic" (I guess). The boat ride was peaceful but a little too short for the price. There were some building structures strategically place in the water where a singer dressed in local garb would step out and sing and wave. I can't decide if that was corny or charming. We also decided... More

Visited here today on a Thursday and arrived via the local bus around 9am. No issues with collecting tickets that weren't reserved and it wasn't difficult to get the local buses from zhangjiajie. 138 yuan to get in and see the bridge as the canyon itself is currently closed. Wasn't overly busy until we came to leave then there were... More

When I went there in end Sep, I was disappointed that only the glass bridge was open while the Grand Canyon was closed. The staff there could not ascertain when it will be open again. Such is life. The consolation was that it was off peak season, hence there wasn’t too crowded and no queue to the glass bridge. Also... More

We are just back from there today (Sept 30th 2016) - and I can only add some small elements to the pretty comprehensive review by sprabs that shows as being done "Reviewed two weeks ago" as I look at it now. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g494933-d2465954-r417042609-The_Grand_Canyon_of_Zhangjiajie-Zhangjiajie_Hunan.html If you are not a Chinese speaker there are a couple of things to take from the review... We were there on the 18th Sept 2016 and reached there by taking a tour bus. We followed Hunan China Overseas Tour and they already got the entrance tickets to the bridge for us. We queued for our turn and before that was advised by our tour leader not to bring in camera and bottled drinks in case you smear... More

We visited on 30th of August 2016 The canyon and the glass bridge are two different attractions which require two different tickets. From the main entrance you can enter either and the canyon area can be entered from the other end of the bridge. The grand canyon is an older attraction area which somebody has decided needed more visitors. As... More

As of 20-Aug-2016, the longest suspension glass bridge is open for visitors and dont worry if you are non-Chinese, this review should help you understand how to get to Grand Canyon and visit glass bridge without any issues. First of all a little bit about us, we only had two days in Wulingyuan which we had kept for National Park,... More
