    Very unique beach stop
Really out of this world moon like landscape. Beach section is tiny. We climbed around and found a secluded spot early in the morning before the crowds arrived (mainly Americans). Left before the sun started scorching down. Plenty of parking and food van to get drinks/snacks.

    Beautiful!
Beautiful spot! Busy in the afternoon, with boaters, yachts, etc. Food truck near the beach was nice for cold drinks and snacks. Be prepared that there are no bathrooms or umbrellas on site :). You may want to bring a mat for under your towel as all the pretty rocks to lay on are quite rough and not the nicest to lay out on but the views and water are spectacular so well worth it to visit. Some cool caves nearby as well.

    A must see in Milos!
Went in July with my family (11 and 13 yr old) This was the most magnificent beach we have ever seen! You will need to take care walking down, there is no trail. Make sure you have good shoes. There is no washrooms and a very small beach with minimal shade, but you can sit on the rocks. There is a food truck at the entrance, with food, drinks and icecream. In the water be careful not to sit on the rocks with green moss, you will get poked by something. My son got stung by what we think was a jellyfish, so we had to leave. We did go back another day just to walk around the cool formations and check out the fascinating caves (bring a flashlight and watch your step) Sarakiniko Beach really is a must see even if you don’t go swimming.

    One of kind landscape
Extremely scenic beach with caves and cliffs to explore. We went as part of tour so there was no time to relax and swim or jump off the cliffs. One of kind scenery and landscape. Must see on Milos. Suggestions: Plan to spend some time and swim or jump off the rocks. Be sure to explore the caves excavated by the German army in WW2. Some of the walking and navigating the rocks could be difficult for some. Wear good shoes. Only thing keeping it from being a 5star was the crowd. Go early in the day.

Probably the most well known sight in all of Milo's, Sarakiniko beach is a must see location at any time of the year.

Sarakiniko beach can best be described as the "white beach" of Milos, as the entire area is covered in ashen-white volcanic rocks and sand. The landscape looks like marble and is often compared to the surface of the moon. It really is an exotic location, one which can't be found anywhere else in the world.

The surface of the area is rocky, perfect for climbing and trecking. The water is almost emerald in its color during the morning, when I visited, and is rarely disturbed by wind thanks to the cliffs surrounding it.

The beach itself is always bathed in sunlight and has practically no shade for most of the day. If that is an issue then I'd recommend visiting during the evening, late enough to experience the sunset there.

There is also a high cliff which some suggested one can dive from. I personally would not recommend that as the water is actually very shallow in my opinion. There is also limited space in the water, it is a rather small beach.

The area behind the beach also has 3 caverns, which make for an interesting photo op.

The bus stop is 4 minutes away from the beach and the entire path between that and the beach is covered in mesmerizing white ashen sand. You will need sunscreen to walk from the bus to the beach due to the sand's reflective nature.

Personally, I find the gorgeous white scenery and rocky landscape to be this area's main reason for visiting. The sea itself is nice but shouldn't be the focus of your visit here

All in all, despite the lack of space and shade, this is a beautiful location with many opportunities for photos, climbing and obviously swimming. A must-see at least once, though after that you probably won't be visiting again.

When visiting the island if Milos Sarakiniko beach is the place to be.The scenery is breathtaking.Sarakiniko beach is surrounded by chalk white cliffs and in the middle are turquoise waters. The perfect place to take pictures in this extraordinary surrounding which looks like a movie scenery.I don't recommend anyone sitting on the rocks because they are chalk white but Sarakiniko is a must when visiting the island.

The bus from Adams to Sarakiniko Beach was cheap and easy. The volcanic scenery was stunning and the white stone was not hot to sit on. Fun place to jump in and cool off! Very hot weather made the wait for the bus a long one. There was one truck with few concessions and shade from one tree. No toilet services and few taxis. Plan accordingly.

The landscape is different from any other beach, it is worth the visit. The strip of sand is small and doesn't have the facilities to spend the day, but it's worth visiting anyway. From Adamas (near Porto) a bus leaves for 2 euros/person to this beach 4 times a day. The taxi leaving from the same location costs 15 euros. I went at 2pm and it wasn't crowded. The journey to the beach takes around 10 minutes. Information from June/2024.

This beach is probably the most well known on Milos since it looks like the surface of the moon. There are many great views as you walk down the rocks to get to the water. The walk down is fairly easy and there is a nice easy entrance to the shallow water. There's more to explore if you're good with climbing rocks and going in caves, but it's also just a nice place to hang out in or by the water. Parking is clear and easy, but could get crowded. We arrived around 10:30, which is when a tour bus did, but it didn't feel too crowded. We came back for sunset one night and it was very cool!

This “beach” is actually a place formed of white rocks that detonate with the blue sky and the turquoise sea. You will surely not be tired alone when you come but the place is worth a visit. From the port of Adamas there is a direct bus which avoids the problem of parking.Count EUR 2.- per person per trip. This is the most convenient (one departure per hour). Same for the return. Then, despite the world, everyone finds their place on a corner of rock and then goes swimming or jumping from one of the cliffs. The water is translucent and pleasant in summer. Caves can also be visited. A beautiful place still authentic and easily accessible. Without a doubt, one of Milos highlights not to be missed.

It is not a beach, but a beautiful cliff. To visit and stay there 1-2 hours maximum. The recommended entrance to the sea is only with a nice dip of 2-3 meters high, otherwise it is dangerous. The place is spectacular, a milky white surface that seems lunar, a transparent sea and unforgettable colors. Recommendation is to arrive here early in the morning, by 10am, to park decently. At the beginning of the beach-cliff there is a vendor of sandwiches and soft drinks.

The most popular beach of the island and not without reason. A space setting with white volcanic stones that makes the landscape unique and world famous. Its beauty is undeniable. The photogenicity of the place is amazing and justifies the fact that Sarakiniko is often chosen for fashion shoots.
There is a small stretch of sand where you can leave your stuff but the place needs exploring and walking.
For those of you who love diving, you will live a unique experience.

The beach is really beautiful to both explore and swim in (it is not a typical sandy beach though). Definitely recommend.
However on the rocks you will find snakelocks sea anemone which i mistook for some kind of moss/ algae/ seaweed when I sat against the rocks. I quickly removed myself from the rocks as it felt slimy but then I felt it had attached to me. I brushed it off, and when it requires a bit of force to actually get off me I realised that it wasn’t just some plant life. It started stinging almost immediately and my leg got a nasty rash within 15 minutes. I now know that it is not dangerous and rather just painful for a bit but obviously it is still something worth avoiding! From reading other reviews, I think the most important thing is not to sit against the rocks when in the water, and I think you should be fine.

A spectacular set of white cliffs overlooking the windy Aegean Sea. Resembles the moon rather than an earthy place. Truly magical.
Advisable to wear trainers and not flip-flops or sandals as it is a bit slippery and steep. Usually windy as it is situated on the north part of the island but don't let this discourage you from visiting. Small canteen open during the summer season where the bus drops you off. An experience and an otherworldly scenery to remember forever.
