Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This beach was recommended to us as a lesser known one and we visited it twice. Both times we visited, there was only one group there. The main beach did have a lot of seaweed in the water/on the shore, but there was lots of sand for sitting. Off to the right side, there's an easy walk up some rocks to a "secret cave beach" which was our destination both times. The water was clear and free from seaweed in this area, but the beach definitely disappears during high tide. We brought our own food and had lunch their on our second visit.

One of the least known beaches on the island, it is certainly worth visiting. It offers limited space to lay down, but the waters are clear and inviting.

Beware, it is not the obvious beach at your left hand side, but hidden in a cave. It is a very small beach, usually crowded with blue-green water, but seems to be kind of dirty (blisters). Physical shade under the cave. Not a place to enjoy swimming, nice to see though!

This is a wonderful small beach just off the main road. Parking is about 200m from the beach and the approach is easy. To the left is a flat sandy beach like many in the islands, more silt than sand. To the right over the rocks is an amazing small cove carved into the stone with a shady stone overhand. The cove is well protected and provides a unique swimming experience. There are some rocks to jump of of and the rock overhand provides some decent protection! Go, it's beautiful!

Alogomandra beach
4*
Small cozy and shady beach with brown-red sand. It is a small bay and the beach is covered to most parts by a volcanic cave, offering great shade during lunch time.
Since it ia unorganized, no facilities exist, but a coffee about 200m away. Both beach and taverna are marked on the main road from Pollonia to Sarakiniko, not far from Papafragkas beach.
We enjoyed going to Alogomandra after a morning on Sarakiniko, when the heat became to much.
Really great hideout, especially with children to have some cool air and away from too many people (as the place does not bear more than maybe 20-30 people). And at high tide, there's not too much of sand peaking out of the water... Worst case, there is a sandy broader alternative just nearby, incl some cypress trees offering natural shading.

Our landlord for the week recommended this beach. It is split into 2 parts. A large undeveloped beach - with abandoned caravan near it and, next to the large cave (turn right to teach that not left), a longer beach.
I’d you get there early there is
We have been touring Greece and the kale salad for a few weeks and this beach is the 2nd most plastic polluted we have come across. Worst was in Skopelos.
This long strand of beach was a site for sore eyes.
Myself and 2 young Aussie women cleaned up as much as we could. Every type of plastic imaginable. Bottles, bottle tops, combs, straws, bags etc
Can I suggest if you visit please take a bag and fill it with rubbish (not just your own) when you leave?
Some of the larger plastic items like 5 gallon plastic containers were left. I picked up over 100 plastic items and bags. The bin we filled was full.
What bugs me this most are the amount of people - usually ‘youngsters’ - who come here, sit on the beach then leave - seemingly happy to be in the middle of a plastic rubbish tip.
If you are a ‘could not care less’ type this place is ideal for you as it stands!
Greek beaches are treasures but too many of them are now just dumps for plastic.

This beach is divided. There is a cove to the east partially shaded by a cave. Just wonderful if you want relief from the sun. I found lots of great sea glass, including a rare piece of blue!

Waouw, go there and enjoy. Even though the beach is w/o service, you need to have a swim in the "sea bath" on the right of the beach. Suprising!

A very beautiful one especially for a sunset. Easy to get there but not that space if there are more people already in place.
