This wonderful garden was landscaped in a setting of great beauty on top of a cliff with breath-taking views over the sea, and it is a fine specimen of the spirit that animated the Noucentista movement in Catalonia - an early twentieth-century movement for intellectual and aesthetic renewal that found a distinguished spokesman in the writer Eugeni d'Ors.

The Santa Clotilde gardens were designed in the manner of the dainty yet austere gardens of the Italian Renaissance by Nicolau Rubió i Tuduri at the age of twenty-eight, when he was still brimming over with admiration for his master in the art of landscape gardening, Forestier.

I was expecting a bit more, sadly it didn't live up to expectations, but it was a way to pass an hour or so

I would 110% recommend a walk around this place. Well worth the five euros. Don't know what one review is on about with lack of info. The leaflet you are given on entry plus all the boards are too much imo. Spent ages reading it before we could have a proper nosey around the gardens. One of the fountains wasnt... More

This is a delightful garden and well worth a visit. Stunning vistas around a headland with great views of the bay. Although out of season for many flowering plants the garden structure and sculptures made it a worthwhile visit. It is steep but can be accessed a level at a time and plenty of places to sit and reflect. Well... More

Very nice gardens being not far from the crowdy beaches. Very nice garden architecture, maintained carefully. Good place to take rest.

Thanks for sharing your comment about Santa Clotilde Gardens in TripAdvisor. We thank you for emphasizing how well the gardens are conserved. The Santa Clotilde garden team works daily to maintain the garden in good conditions and as you said the Gardens are not far away from the beach, and visitors can easily reach Boadella beach and Fenals beach. Never found the place. Poor directions with the so called signs, plus walking through ghostly building sites is no fun. Whole area looks abandoned with swimming pools full of dirt and scaffolding falling apart. Felt like the start of a Stephen King book.

Sorry to read your comment. There are two types of signs that indicate the Garden of Santa Clotilde. Some are road signs for cars and the others are hiking signs, and we can say that the Garden of Santa Clotilde is the best indicated point of Lloret de Mar. Reading your comment, I understand that maybe you may leave the... More

I know it was the time of year but it was very green no flowers etc. i did like the statues and took pictures but i won't post them you have to go see them yourself. Oh and the Houses are private property you cant see them so 1 hour is enough to be there.
