The main beach was patrolled (9am-5pm) when we were there (school holidays) so you can swim between the flags. It’s a good spot to introduce kids to boogie boarding. The sand is gold and clean - and the dunes have a few shady trees. There’s...More

This is a very nice beach. Said to be the last beach with surf on the Queensland coast. On the day kids were learning to ride a surfboard and the waves were gentle and crystaline and the water 22 degrees in AUGUST! Really enjoyable.

This is a beautiful beach and would be great for families with young children. Definitely great for a long beach walk at dawn and sunset.

The beach was watched closely by 2 life guards who were quick to advise when the beach was getting a bit rough - a cyclone was off the coast of aus. well done.

We only stopped by briefly to look as Cyclone Iris was causing rough surf and rain. The beach is ok, not white sand but more like brown bank sand. VERY crowded on a holiday weekend.

A lovely beach for a morning stroll. There were only a few other people there at the same time as us, so plenty orf room for all.
