We loved visiting this zoo. You can get so close to the animals and the staff are fantastic. A great day out.

Such a great zoo. Not too big, not too small & the food is cheap making it a budget friendly day out. Staff is very accomodating & I love that there is hand sanitiser, sunscreen and insect repellant available to use. Great work Darling Downs...More

This was a good little trip out from Toowoomba. We got to see Giraffes, Lions, Cheetahs, Zebras, Meerkats, and all sorts of monkeys. Not to mention all the usual Australian animals - Koala, Kangaroo, Emu, Wombat. The zoo does look like a work in progress,...More

We have been wanting to go to the Darling Downs Zoo for some time. Finally made it in June. How I wish we had not. The animals looked distressed, pacing back and forth in boredom. Very little shelter, open windy enclosures and dust. Paths around...More

Been to many zoos over the years and my 2 highlights were being able to feed the zebras and seeing the lions. Came during Winter but Summer would be extremely hot. Only 2 toilets. (getting upgraded)

Lovely zoo. Large variety of animals. You get close up to the animals and get to feed most of them for a small fee which my 1 and 3 year old loved. Great day out with the family. Staff are very friendly.

A phenomenal zoo that is a refreshing change from its overpriced, and commercialised competitors. A fantastic team, with a wealth of knowledge and a clear passion and dedication. This zoo showcases an incredible array of species, unprecedented to other zoological institutions in Queensland. Some highlights...More

This zoo is the perfect size to stroll through with plenty of wildlife to admire and feed. It’s not undercover so go early or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat or come prepared. They had sunscreen and hand sanitizer available to use at the...More

Definitely not! The zebras will eat food you buy at the zoo as well. But No WAY can you feed the lions or the tigers.
