Great lookout to see the old mine and surrounding area. Its amazing how this mine was built in the 1800 so far from the Main town. Recommend to stop and see on your way to Rockhampton

Either by yourself tour or the local tour operator, a stop here to sit and take photos of a goneby era of a working gold mine. The smelter chimney is the centrepiece and one of the most photographed in Mt Morgan. Well worth the stop

This Lookout gives a reasonable view over the Mine area. There is a picnic table and a couple of Information Panels to read. Not really advisable to bring caravans up there as there is not a lot of room.

It's a view, but it's not the best one. For that you need to be behind the open cut mine and the only way to do that is to do the mine tour. Like everything in Mount Morgan, even the lookout itself is looking a...More
