McGuigan has gone by several different names including Chateau Yaldara. It is set in a huge mansion which once had many paintings. The service was good and the wines were good depending on what name the place went under.

Tried the famed award-winning Shiraz. Not impressed. All the wines I was given were practically tasteless other than the fortified wine, which was okay. They should focus less on appearances and more on their wine.

One needs to remember that McGuigans, or Australian Wine Vintners (AVW) as they're known on the Aus Stock Exchange, is an Aussie wide Company. Their Barossa Reds are superb, particularly at the upper end of their price range. I'm talking more than $20 cellar door....More
