Langmeil Winery offers guests a relaxing friendly place to visit. The gardens are beautiful and child friendly. Ample tables and chairs to enjoy some yummy wines with a cheese platter of local produce (or take it with you) from the lovely staff at Cellar Door. Special premium wine tastings for $50 a person (bookings essential) in the Freedom Cellar and if the weather permits a vineyard tour also, showcasing old gnarly Shiraz vines believed to be the oldest in the world. The old Blacksmiths workshop and stables speak the history of ye ole Langmeil Village - one of the first settlements in the Barossa. There is something for everyone at Langmeil Winery.

125 year old winery

Absolutely incredible 125 year old winery, settled by Lutheran people who came to escape European persecution. The wines are fantastic served by very informative friendly staff.

An excellent winery, very traditional. Their 'Blacksmith' red and Bella Rouge rose` were my favourites. Beautiful setting. Visiting this winery is a very enjoyable experience.

Highly recommend a tasting at Langmeil! We had such a wonderful experience tasting and learning about the various wine varieties and walked away with a few bottles of our favorites and a cheese box to enjoy our wine with. A must do!

Our first request was for hot water to heat up a babies bottle without hesitation the request was met you really can tell when people enjoy their jobs. I have never been to a cellar door where people do not like talking about their wines , langmeil is no exception. The cellar door is in a really beautiful setting with... More

Visited this gem as part of a wine-tasting trip of 4 wineries. Langmeil is by far the most enjoyable (all wineries are good but Langmeil is exceptional). We made a request to taste the higher quality wines and we were not disappointed. It is the home of the world's oldest surviving Shiraz vineyard - The Freedom 1843 (173 years old... More

Have visited many wineries and I'd put Langmeil in my top 5. We were very warmly welcomed by an exceptionally friendly staff member who took us through a range of tasty high quality wines. Our host was very knowledgeable and enjoyable to chat with. The winery setting is very pretty with numerous old buildings setting up a very pleasant place... More

Picked this winery off the Barossa website. Not disappointed. Excellent service even though it was busy. Tania was friendly and professional and dealt with my father and his hearing impairment very respectfully. Lovely wines. Highly recommended

This was my first visit to this winery and was suitably impressed. The staff were welcoming and friendly and had very nice wines to taste, will be back next time in the area.

This would have to be one of my favourite wineries I visited in the region! The wine here is amazing both red and white varieties. Really enjoyed our tasting and experience. The staff were amazing and had a lot of knowledge that they shared. We really enjoyed our time here as we had a great laugh with them all. The... More

Langmeil was our first stop on a two day tour of the Barossa and what a place to start. The Cellar Door Manager Jonathan Bitter is a wealth of knowledge and he gave us a fascinating overview of the history of the region and was able to tie in where Langmeil fits in the overall picture. We walked to see... More
