Recently returned from Esperance - Helms arboretum certainly the place to see great spider orchids. These photos are very good. Unfortunately, ours are not good, as the wind was extreme. Free entry too

It is about ten kilometers from Esperence on the way in from the north although it is not that well signed. it has some interesting trees and native plants and is a good place for a picnic and a stroll around.

my wife loves wild flowers and we saw several in this arboretum that she was pleased about. Easy access to most of the tracks for 2 wheel drives

We go to Helms several times a year. It is great to get kids out into some tall trees and they can wander quite far in safety. Has toilets and picnic table, so great to go oout there for a few hours. Always something different...More
