Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This Wildlife Park is a truly distressing place to visit. The animals are in small, old, delapidated enclosures that are clearly way too small for the animals. Birds cant fly, there isnt enough room in their cages. The only animals with space to roam that is suitable for them are the dugites, flies and an emu. This place appears to be very unkept and not at all looked after, and the animals unloved and neglected. These animals are in dire need of some love and attention and space. No water or food was visible in any enclosure. It is dry and barren, the grounds and gardens uncared for. Not worth the $15 entry fee. You can only hope that 100% of the $15 is put into care for the animals.
Maybe it was a hive of activity and cared for years ago, maybe the mini train track was operational. Instead today it is a very sad place to visit.

I came away from this place truly distressed, my heart broke for those poor animals, the birds had small enclosures, the wind on the eagle looked awful. My heart broke when I saw the donkey, there was a sign advising that they are under the care of a vet, but OMG, fly bitten, blood pouring down its leg, raw wound. This place is not a sanctuary for animals, it is hell on earth. So unkempt, in need of some attention, for the price they charge visitors this should be a lush haven for the poor animals. Don't waste your money going to the so called attractions they are a waste of time, someone is pocketing the money and until things are improved people should stay away

Didn't go into the wildflower shop , but the wildlife park - it's probably had such bad reviews that it's been removed from trip advisor! It was a bummer - all the animals looked really depressed and we left feeling pretty depressed too. Once upon a time this would've been a lovely thriving place, even with a miniature train for the kids! But the train is derelict, as are many of the enclosures. There are no signs telling you what's in each enclosure, but if there is a sign it's usually wrong i.e. sign says rainbow lorikeet when it's a galah etc. This place is desperate for a makeover and some continued maintenance to a high standard. Particular low lights were seeing a dead mouse in the water of the rabbit hutch, the reptile enclosure with snake skins lying randomly on the floor, and seeing the sign above the donkey enclosure saying "under vet care", then reading a review from a year ago and finding out the sign was there then too. What takes long term care by a vet like that?? Should the poor thing not be put out of its misery??

What an Awful experience at the cafe with very rude customer service by one particular woman. The food order was disgraceful, what ever I asked for they ran out off! Not sorry we have no white bread. Instead she said "We ran out of white bread you only have grain or wholmeal." The ice coffee was disgusting, the lasagna was cold, they didn't make one of the orders and refused to make it after i paid for it. She didn't give me a receipt of proof of the order so her response if you want a panine pay for it. Then Later yells out to us we ran out of beef pie and you can only have chicken and leek. This is all after i paid $100 For a family lunch. Will i go there again you ask? NO WAY! Do yourselves a favour and upgrade the decor and hire professional friendly staff!

We were happy to support the local economy and are always up for a quirky tourist spot but this was more run down than we expected. The lace museum was fascinating and really highlighted the technical skill behind the craft. The toy soldier museum was ok but also seemed to be a hoarder's dumping ground. The creepy animals in kitchen jars were tacky. The statue depicting and aboriginal man at the entrance is quite offensively unflattering.
The saddest part was the wild animal park. It clearly used to lush and manicured but is now run down and in shambles. There was no visible effort to care for the animals or their enclosures. The half eaten wallaby carcass in the eagle enclosure made it look like they were disposing a deceased exhibit.
Would only recommend the lace museum and gift shop. The "pioneer town" rooms at the caravan park are interesting but also appear to be a hoarder's collection rather than crafted educational display.

In the visitor centre at Wave Rock, the amount of dried wild flowers hanging from the ceiling is fantastic. Many flowers arranged in the shape of butterflies make a very interesting display. They also have a cafe with the best quiche and salad you could get anywhere.

The shop here is wonderful, but the cafe needs a makeover, the staff were unhelpful & service was very slow, not sure if they were understaffed but at one point i returned to buy a pre packed sandwich and waited forever for this, staff were at there stations, one was stood right in front of me and didnt bother to ask if i was ok, i ended up having to speak up, we had a great morning at Wave Rock so this was a letdown, was embarrassed for my family who were visiting from Tasmania and Qld

If you are travelling Interstate and not in Bush Flower season this gives you a good perspective of flowers. Depending on your taste there’s something for everyone.

At first I didn't see any flowers.

All I could see was books, calendars, stuffed animals, dish towels. That was fine with me, until I looked at the ceiling. All the flowers were drying above our heads. It was attractive. I had never seen this before. Beautiful!

Wortwhile to see!
