York is not the place you go for books but this is a great find. Owned by Clayton who certainly knows how to.run.a book shop. Beautiful decor and surroundings in a historic building. Once the fire station. A great range of different books. Worth stopping...More

This is a cute little bookstore, It has lots of different rooms with all the books in so you really feel like your exploring through the shop. There are comfy chesterfield sofas to browse books on. Its a nice little place on the main road...More

Thank you for such a positive review. We have definitely tried to achieve a relaxed traditional bookshop atmosphere where people are welcome to browse. And yes we do get a lot of comments on the old WA map! Hope to see you again soon.
