Sorry to say that a once classic covered bridge is more a dilapidated hang out for local youth. At least that's how I read the many signatures in already paint. And not even attractive tags. Don't make a special trip for this.

Nice heart-pine flooring, with high ceiling rafters...interesting example of 'turn of the century' engineering ; where it appears the skills of furniture making, and road construction merged...

We stopped at the bridge while in route to the state and national parks in the area. We love history so this site did not disappoint. As you learn the history of the site, you can just imagine the builders hard at work and horse...More

The Covered Bridge is fairly easy to find with the typical 'brown' signs periodically along the route. The bridge has unfortunately been 'hit with grafitti artists' however it is still a great place to visit. The parking area and picnic areas are well taken care...More

Teh covered bridge is a great place to go pack a lunch and enjoy to outdoors, we go many times a year. Just to enjoy nature and the beauty

There are two covered bridges in North Carolina and this was the closest for us to visit. While it was worth the side trip, I had expected one that you could drive thru. Very interesting history.

Great ride and beautiful scenery. There are picnic tables for a lunch. The area is beautiful this time of year. There is a trail to walk and look at the scenery. The covered bridge was really well kept. Nice to see a part of history....More
