As it rained for much of my trip to Sunset Beach, I decided to take a few hours when it actually stopped raining for a bit, and walk the beach, and stopped at the mailbox. I have been here several times over the years, and...More

I learned of the mailbox from reading "every breath" by Nicholas Sparks. The romantic idea of this mailbox made me want to go and see it for myself. The walk was 1.5 miles and it was one of the relaxing walks I have had. Sunset...More

A lovely spot to quietly reflect and ponder, and to creatively share one's feelings by putting pen to paper found in the mailbox.

Stop here to read the thoughts of folks of all ages, generally what they are thankful for - which is lovely time spent. A retreat in itself. Worth the walk!

Been twice, once catching the amazing Sunset sunset. Great for a wind down after a long day at the beach.

When I came to visit this area, I read stories about Mailboxes here; almost like local folklore. So when read about Kinred Spirit, I was intrigued by it. Look a long walk to the mailbox and left note.

Worth the walk! So serene and beautiful! There are benches to sit on and see the ocean and marsh! Bring water and your camera! Love it! We will be back!

No. No access roads nearby. Best suggestion would be renting a sand wheelchair.
