We had a great time here, there is a train engine to climb in and a caboose to explore. The museum takes you on a trip through the history of rail travel with some remarkable insights into the human side of working with trains and track. The exhibits are varied and interesting and there are several interactive displays, the most... More

We hadn't visited the museum in a few years , lots of additions, took 4 year old grandson there today . The lady at the desk was so very kind , made the visit much more enjoyable. Lots of trains, fun to watch.

Had an awesome miniature train room, with a lot of historical detail of local town railways. Not a lot of walking required to view all the exhibits.

This museum was very interesting for adults and great fun for children as they could climb into the train cars and try out all the knobs and wheels. The staff is volunteer and very excited to share their great knowledge of the railroad in Wilmiington.

For the kids and kids at heart, they have a lot of running model railroads, a nice railroad history exhibit and a lot of railroad "stuff".

If you are into model railways, this is definitely your place to visit with world's longest model railway. Again, if not, spend your time somewhere else.
