Great Fishing

Fished the Missouri river for Walleye. Was very cold but the state Game and Fish department had the ramps out. What a place to come and spend time on the water.

There are so many reasons to love the Misouri river. The whole area is steeped in history. There were any Native American tribes that lived along and used the river. There are many sites along the river that can be visited. Lewis and Clark travelled the river and wrote about it in their journals. Steamboats travelled the river. There are... More

We took the 100 mile trip east to view the Missouri River. We were making our home base in Medora, ND so this was a long trip just to see a river. It did not disappoint us at all. A beautiful wide River with lots of boats on the water. We got to get our feet wet as we wadded... More

We left Bismarck and took highway 1804, which follows the Lewis and Clark Trail. We stopped at the Double Ditch Indian Village SHS and walked the path. Very interesting history there. We continue up to Washburn and then took highway 200A over to highway 8 and made the loop back past Lake Sakakawea.Gorgeous country along the Missouri River. There are... More

Stayed with family right on the Missouri river and the deck faced the East and the sun coming up is just beautiful.

Many great sights to see along the river including great places to stop and eat. Broken Oar, Rock Point, The Drink and The Pier. If you don't have a boat of your own you can hop on the Louis and Clark Riverboat. We love to fish on the river in the early spring and late fall.

I grew up playing and boating on the river. Traveled all over the world and lived on a Great Lake, but I still love an afternoon on a sandbar the best. Drive down to the desert in Kimball River Bottoms south of University of Mary for a huge beach that is always nice, and you don't need a boat! 4-wheel... More

We had hoped to ride the Lewis and Clark Riverboat Sunday evening, but there was no one on site when we arrived. The sign on the door stated that someone would be there at 4:15, and we arrived at 4:30. We waited for roughly 15 minutes before we left. There were other people waiting as well. The sign suggested that... More

I see this river every day and cross it nearly every week. there are walking paths all along the East (Bismarck) side, and it is always full of people. there is a river boat. ,The Lewis &Clark, that has cruises every day during the summer months..We...
