Attempted to ride the fat tire trails at Fort Stevenson State Park. The trails were difficult to find and I had to call a Ranger for directions. Once I was on the trail it was too soft in spots to ride. Was disappointed but will try again. The park was beautiful with all the snow cover. First time there so... More

Really thought there would be more to park. It is pretty and open but the original fort is under the water and there was nothing much left of it prior to the dam flooding the area to make the lake. The museum is informative but small.

This park is beautiful. It has nice cabins to stay and great hiking trails. Be sure to take in the history here from a small museum to actual battle field. If you love to fish this is the place for you. There are many different species to catch. Also, don't forget to check out the prairie dogs.

My husband and I camped here for 2 nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The historical part included the Lewis and Clark Expedition and Fort Stevenson. All was well done. Picnic areas were plentiful. The trails were pretty easy, and they pass some breathtaking views of the lake. We especially enjoyed the black tailed prairie dog colony, and we... More

Joined my aunt and uncle at their camper...and had a cabin with my parents for three nights. It wad rustic in the cabin but clean. The camp sites were generous on space and each had a fire pit. We enjoyed the family time to hike, walk, run, and go boating. The museum was super. Like stepping back in time. The... More

The park was nearly deserted on the October day I visited, but I was still able to enjoy the reconstructed fort containing both a nice museum and a well-stocked gift shop. The fort building was not open when I arrived, but a ranger happily opened up for the two people waiting to look around. There is camping and other facilities... More

we went for the back to school bash and had a good time. Several bouncy booths set up for the kids and other games for littler ones.

I just stopped by to see the museum on the old fort here. It is a small building with cool displays on how the military used to protect trade along the river. Beautiful views of the Missouri River as well.

In true North Dakota fashion, the place was clean, well kept and mowed to a T. The showers at the campsite were wonderful I would stay there again definitely.
