Lovely in the summer, this park keeps the river flowing in the spring by eliminating obstructions. Lots of entries and exits through the flood wall -which was incorporated to be a 'feature' in beautiful down town grand forks. bike paths that run for miles and miles for jogging, biking, and rollerblading, which includes a half dozen bridges to go back... Fun overnight trip to Grand Forks including a walk through Memorial Park. Neat old downtown right across the river from Minnesota.

This is amazing that the town was covered in that much water. Nice park along the river. I was told there are 20 miles of bile and walking path.

Beautiful October weather certainly helped us to enjoy our walk in the park. Nice to walk along the river. Flood and fire of 97 certainly took its toll on GF

Visited the Japanese Gardens years ago and found it a beautiful spot in a secluded area. On my most recent visit I found development has changed the location completely. It is now a part of the city, with housing and other developments all around it. Still a pleasant area to walk just very different from what it was.

The Park has been redeveloped now into apartments. What remains are two interpretive panels that tell the story of the flood. Those are worth seeing, especially when combined with a trip to the Flood Monolith near the river.

The grounds were clean and had nice facilities. We had a wonderful break from the hustle of being a tourist.
