Tyax Adventures is an amalgamation of over 55 years of Chilcotin Backcountry Tour experience. Our goal is your complete satisfaction and our team is here to share with you their love for this spectacular area by providing you with a worry free adventure. All of our guides, pilots, wranglers, hosts and staff are chosen because of their passion for adventure and their desire to share that with you! Our wranglers have deep roots in the area going back to the first days of settlement in the Bridge River Valley. They know these mountains like the back of their hand and will share with your their favourite places and choose routes specifically to suit your group. Hikers will be blown away by the variety and abundance of flora & fauna and our guides can point out unique features along the way ensuring you come back with some great information along with all that fresh mountain air. We are proud to have taken the highest number of mountain bikers into the South Chilcotin Mountains Park and our guides can navigate the extensive trail network with their eyes closed! No matter what you're into we've got a trail that you'll love and our guides can show you the way, hassle free, allowing you more time to relish this singletrack paradise. The South Chilcotin Mountain Park and Big Creek Parks where we operate are special places and we treasure them. As an operator we do our best to keep this beautiful area as clean and pristine as we found it. We use biodegradable products in camps, recycle and remove our waste, use solar power, and we try to limit our footprint to the best of our ability. Each year we try to give back to the area by working to maintain the trails, fix bridges, and acts as stewards for this beautiful playground. Tyax Adventures operates a Dehavilland Beaver aircraft - one of the safest planes ever built to facilitate backcountry adventures. Our pilots are skilled in flying around the coast & mountains of BC and will make sure you have a safe and enjoyable flight. To put it more simply, our small team are all adventurers at heart, no matter what you're into we are here to show you the best this area has to offer. Poor communication and complete lack of consideration or care for guests. I would never book anything with this company - they only want your $$$$ and care nothing for you.
