Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you want to settle into the beauty and silence, and solitude of nature this is a fantastic place to go. To drive in there you need a good vehicle but once you park and begin your hike it is absolutely splendid. This is a part of the Sunshine Coast that is less travelled but well worth the hike into it. You can hike up to various lakes and enjoy your lunch in the quiet there. There are cabins to hike into and if you are an overnight hiker this is a great destination.

If you are at all interested in nature, getting away from everything, incredible open areas, beauty, wildlife, hiking, gorgeous vistas, rustic cabins, mountain climbing, back country skiing or summer walks and all the amazing this planet can throw at you, then this is the place for you.

Access via grey creek fsr in Sechelt, a 40 minute uphill drive on sometimes poor gravel roads with possible cutouts. Park in the upper lot to save a long hike in.

Park is well signed but this is an area of self governance. No cell reception, no first aid. Pack it in pack it out, no garbage facilities. Bring pepper spray for possible wildlife encounters (I've never used it, ever) bring first aid basics.

Loads of water in winter and summer, bring a water conditioner, and container. The cabins (5?) are 30 mins to 2 hours or more hiking. They are simple, no running water or beds, but basic facilities and sleeping area with wood and fireplace!

Simply a magical place which you should visit.

Park is large and shaped in a circle. 5 peaks under 5k feet are there to be climbed, skied admired or what have you. One entrance of the park to the other (two accesses, Langdale and Sechelt) ) is about 8 hour walk.

Be careful, have fun, take a sat phone if possible.

Getting to the trailhead is the challenge, but once to the parking lot the trail is well marked and well used. A nice uphill with beautiful views of Mt Steel and the inlet.
We recommend hiking to the winter cabins, there are 3 total.

Unsurpassed and accessible beauty.
Such a gem with multiple cabins to stay at for those who want to get away from it all.

Amazing views, fun on the snow sliding down the hills in garbage bags! Cabin up there is great for short stays, trails are hard to make out in the snow, please ensure you take the right gear with you, you can easily get lost!
