The ultimate Bay of Fundy eco-adventure. Drive the paved parkway that hugs the coastal cliffs. Lace up your hiking boots and hop on your mountain bike and explore the trails. These connect to paths and stairways which lead to pristine beaches and tumbling waterfalls, Precambrian rocks, 250m cliffs that tower at the water's edge. If that doesn't take your breath away, just check out the view - the spectacular, stunning Bay of Fundy. The trail has been carved out of the Fundy Escarpment, one of the last remaining coastal wilderness areas between Florida and Labrador. Most of the elements of the Fundy ecosystem exist within this area including the dramatic Fundy tides. At the Interpretive Centre you'll find original artifacts and old photos from a bygone era, when logging, fishing and shipbuilding were an economic mainstay of this region. Guided tours to Hearst Lodge and Great Day Experiences for the family or groups are available. The Interpretive Centre also provides a snack bar, restroom facilities and a small retail outlet. Above the Centre, there is a suspension bridge across the sparkling waters of the Big Salmon River and the beginning of the wilderness Fundy Footpath.

If you want an amazing drive, a history lesson and some trails to walk, this place has it all. The speed limit in the park is low due to the turns and cliffs , this offers you as the driver to take in more of the sites, as the road goes through areas with 100 feet rock walls of purple... More

My wife and I rented a car from Saint John after arriving on our cruise ship. I hadn't planned to drive the Fundy Trail since I thought it would be closed according to the web site. I was pleased when the rental car agency asked if I was going there and I told them I thought it was closed and... More

An easy picnic lunch and we were off for day in nature like no other. Each of the look out stops was better than the last. Each gave the elevation Astounding! Remarkable experiences. The staff at the interpretation Centre was low key and helpful. No pressure here! Just a fascinating day being wowed by nature. And that day the tides... More

We spent a wonderful fall afternoon -- sunny and cool -- in St. Martins for lunch (seafood chowder) and then driving the entire length (currently) of the Fundy Trail. The trees were glorious, with mostly yellows and golds (due to the dry summer). The huge rock faces -- sometimes on both sides of the road -- were amazing, as were... More

The Fundy Trail Parkway has numerous overlooks for viewing the Bay of Fundy. Each seems to be more beautiful than the next. We finally just gaped, as comments for such natural beauty were simply inadequate. It was an easy drive over good roads although there are some steep grades and a hairpin turn. One of the things I particularly wanted... More

We spent a couple hours driving and walking along the trail on a lovely day in October. It was uncrowded since we went in the middle of the week and after tourist season, I suspect, so were able to stop along the way at our leisure. The trail moseys along the cliffs overlooking the bay, with some easy and some... More

The Fundy Trail is the "must see" attraction in Southern New Brunswick. Bring a picnic, stay the day, or pick up some chowder in nearby St. Martins! You can drive the whole thing stopping at lookouts in about 90 minutes. You can hike it in 3 to 4 hours, or just do a series of mini hikes like we usually... More

We visited in late September, so there were few other tourists however it was worth the drive to see the beauty of the land and sea. There is a small admission but it is helpful for the maintenance of this gem. A future expansion is planned but for now it is a 19km driving route with return back the way... More
