Beautiful site, well maintained, clean with picnic table to have lunch. Worth a look. Conveniently located just off the trans canada highway in the historic town of Harbour Grace.

I had no idea Amelia Earhart left from Heart's Content on her trans-Atlantic flight. There's a good summary of the area's aviation history as well as the wreck of the SS Kyle which remains stuck aground right by the DC-3 memorial to Amelia Earhart.

The display is nice. Lucky enough to see a bald eagle leave when we walked the boardwalk! Make sure you take the time to find the airfield and GO! Take “ the path less traveled”!

The plane and statue of Amelia Earhart are just beside the highway. Worth a stop to understand the history of transatlantic flight. How things have changed.

There's not much to see, but this can be combined with viewing the Amelia Earhart statue and the SS Kyle wreck and even take in a short boardwalk on the bay. Interesting for the history of the area

Cool little place with great views. Disappointed that the visitors centre wasn't open however it's a small town. We did get some great photos and learned about our beautiful Canadian history.

The spirit of Harbour grace scite is very interesting. The tourist chalet tells the story of the ship in the Harbour "the Kyle". This ship was commissioned in the early 1900s at England. Go into the chalet, see the artifacts and read the history. Very...More

Lovely monument with history of Amelia and her flight across the Atlantic. The old Kyle is grounded in the ocean behind this display. Lovely site as you enter Hr. Grace from the Veteran's Highway.
