Town not looking after plane . Grounds well kept . Lights for monument need repair. It’s a nice spot but the plane looks poorly managed. The old boat KYLE is an icon to bad something was not done back in the 70’s to preserve it . Now it’s to late

A peaceful place. Has beautiful views of Harbour and stranded ship. Places to sit ,chat, relax and reflect. Worth the brief stop as it allows you to understand the significant history of this town.

Another nice little spot. The plane needs a good paint job but the signs are all still readable about Amelia and the history of the plane.

Beautiful site, well maintained, clean with picnic table to have lunch. Worth a look. Conveniently located just off the trans canada highway in the historic town of Harbour Grace.

I had no idea Amelia Earhart left from Heart's Content on her trans-Atlantic flight. There's a good summary of the area's aviation history as well as the wreck of the SS Kyle which remains stuck aground right by the DC-3 memorial to Amelia Earhart.
