Despite having to drive several kms from Advocate Harbour, and along a dirt, washboard-surfaced road to get here, we thought it was very worthwhile! At the end of the dirt road there is a parking lot on your right. From here you walk a short...More

The lighthouse is a bit out of the way. You will travel a few miles on a dirt road, park your vehicle, then walk down a steep road to the lighthouse. Wander around the lighthouse and enjoy the view. There is a restaurant on the...More

We travelling down the road to Advocate Harbour and saw the sign for Cape d'or Lighthouse. So we made the turn. It said it was 6 km in. In half a km the road turned to gravel so you need to do 5.5 km on...More

We came originally to eat at the lighthouse, but it seems the proprietor opens and closes the place on whom. Aside from that, it's totally worth driving down that dusty gravel road. The view one gets is breathtaking, and the water is so clear that...More

This is a favourite place to go of ours. It is safer than Cape Split to walk around and there is food. There is even a B&B here with praises from many friends. Took amazing photographs of the sunsets, best in years.

A beautiful stop to see the lighthouse down below and take pictures. It's not for the weak or people with walking disabilities as it's a rocky incline down the road.

The lighthouse is accompanied by a fog horn with a warning that your hearing could be damaged if you are nearby when it sounds. Cliffs and currents are impressive. The road is a challenge.

We spent the night in the Lighthouse guest house. Nothing fancy at all, quite plain in fact, but oh my gosh, who cares! The views and just the pure relaxation is why you come here! Amazing place to watch the sunset and take in all...More
