Lovely church in small community

This was a nice respite in all the sightseeing opportunities on our trip. You can see and feel the love of the community in how well this church is maintained.

While our trip was mostly a bust due to it being the off season, in this case it couldn't have been better. We were the ONLY TWO people in the church. We had the run of it to ourselves, so we wandered around and enjoyed the artwork and architecture in private. I would definitely visit again. Just remarkable craftsmanship!

Huge church with a lot of history. Be sure to find someone to tell you the history, otherwise, you will be missing a lot. Beautiful inside and well cared for. A traditional community church build with their own hands and labor.

Toured the church on two levels. It is beautiful inside and has a nice view of the harbor. Founder of church is entombed in the lower level.

Prominent off highway is this tall spired church. Outside and in are beautiful The only negative is the rather unattractive surrounding parking lots and buildings. there is a nice view of the small inlet of water from the front.

One of the larger churches in the Cape Breton area. Worth a walk through if you are on a stroll, but I wouldn't stop just to go inside.

This has to be the biggest church on the island. It was beautiful and even had a second floor. If in Cheticamp, you need to check it out.

This church is extremely well kept and impressive. Worth the stop. The priest who had the church built is buried there.
