Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

You just walk in and experience the calm and appeasing experience. The organ is just beautiful, take time to admire the architecture and the vues it offers on the second floor!

Stones were cut on the protective barrier island, across the river. They were hauled across the frozen water and assembled on the town's shore. This is the largest church for many miles. It dominates the shoreline of Cheticamp. There is amble parking.

Located right in Cheticamp and open to the public. A very airy and light church. Downstairs are lots of old photos and there is a memorial that has a hooked rug photo that looks like a real photo .

Nice old stone church built by the locals in 1893. It’s a landmark to say the least and looms over the village.

This is obviously one of the few things in Cheticamp to visit. This is a small town to be sure especially when the fishing season is over. I guess there was a fire years ago and so they put in new stained glass windows —sort of modern and certainly not a good fit for this old church

Looking out on the sea across from a little island, this church is truly inspiring. Reading the history and realizing that the stone to build it was quarried on the little island and hauled across the sea ice in the winter. The detail and design is amazing and one wonders where the craftsmen who built it came from. The outside is beautiful but the inside is awe inspiring. It is amazing to find such a beautiful edifice outside a major city. It's weel worth stopping to see this lovely church steeped in the history of the area.

This church has history and should be looked up prior to the visit. The stone structure and the history behind it are magnificent! If you get the chance to go up the stairs to check out the organ and then take a look down into the sanctuary, it is breathtaking! As most churches, you walk upon the tomb of the first priest and others.

This is worth the stop to walk around the most beautiful church I’ve ever been in! The stone structure and the history behind it is magnificent! If you can go up the stairs and take a look down into the sanctuary, it is breathtaking! Also, the tomb of the first priest is to the right of the alter.

Not perhaps a destination, but a reasonable stop when touring to see a good example of vernacular architecture and folk art interior decoration. Along with ministering to his flock, this church was the life work of the rector whose spirit lingers here and whose contribution to the community is still appreciated.

Rather daunting from outside but beautiful two story interior with inspiring statuary and murals on the walls, all done in lovely light colors! The story of building this magnificent church in a relatively small town is fascinating. Be sure to see the tomb for the priest who led his parish to this new site for the church. Wonderful scrapbooks of photos to browse can be found nearby that make the people as present as the building is inspiring.
