Diverse choice of forest trails to beach and rock views. Beautiful little gazebo for resting overlooking the bay & choice of distance to walk. Stay to the right after the visitor center or you could be treking 20 km. Trails are not really well marked...More

Misery Bay is always fascinating to visit. There is now a beautiful little gazebo and lookout when you come out of the trail and onto the bay.

Bucket List - Visit every Provincial Park in Ontario This was one of our favourite parks. We arrived quite late in the day so the visitor centre was closed but the washrooms were still open. The visitor center did look quite nice so we were...More

The office was closed, but the outdoor washroom was open. The trails are very pleasant, with considerable choice of length, from the 2km one that we did, which led to a pleasant beach, to about 20km. They are in the process of creating footpaths, so...More

I am not a big hiker, and this is one of the best hiking spots I have been to. Diverse landscapes depending on whether you take the coastal or inland trails, with amazing natural rock features. The red and yellow trails were easy to walk...More

Spent a day hiking, swimming, and picnicking at Misery Bay. Breathtaking sights from the rocks to the trees to the water. Great place to go hang out with nature and a wonderful place to take friends and family members!

I did the Coastal Alvar trail. The hike out to Misery Bay was very well marked and easy to do. The beach along the bay was a great spot for a snack. The hike along the coast was challenging in parts because the water was...More

Sometime ago I did an article for the local news paper about Misery Bay. They were opening a new visual/virtual display for the park and it is incredible.

A wonderful hike, a little challenging at times. was further on the trail I took, than was posted on signs and web. 8km was closer to 12km by the time I returned. Marker posts need to be restored, some were laying on the ground.

Beautiful scenery when we went a few weekends ago while touring the island. Little far from central manitoulin but worth the drive. Nice place to relax and about the only thing to do in Evansville though.

We don't offer camping at Misery Bay Provincial Park, but it's a fantastic spot for a day trip. Located on Manitoulin Island, Misery Bay offers over 15 km of hiking trails, a boardwalk and a bird-viewing platform... More
