Having been an avid reader of Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables stories, this was a must see for me on my Atlantic Canada trip. It's worth the drive up to the North Coast of Prince Edward Island. You can see the house that...More

Otherwise, it's a real drag fighting the multitude of tourists and having to stand in single file. As of October 2018, the area is a construction site! Mud, chaos, temporary this and that. Give it time to be completed, then the gift shop will trump...More

Anne never lived in this house. It belonged to cousins of the author. When people started coming to look for Green Gables of the Anne of Green Gables fame, they eventually turned it into an inn and then eventually it became only a tourist site....More

Maura Lee made our trip fun and informative. It was gray and drizzly but we did not care because her narration of the sites we saw was lively. I recommend this tour.

I've read three of the Anne of Green Gables books and found visiting the house and walking Lover's Lane to be very enjoyable. Picturing Anne in this setting was fun for me.

Perhaps it was because we visited at the end of the season and construction is being done, but I was left on my appetite somehow. The vista is beautiful, even in late fall; the exposition is meticulously arranged and the staff is obviously very knowlegable...More

It is a self guided tour. Tickets are not free but were free to youth in 2017/18. I think an adult ticket is $8.00. Just show up when you want.
