Les Jardin de Quatre-Vents is a must see garden if you love gardening, nature, ecology, botany, and if you love to laugh. This was a man’s dream. The kitchen garden includes topiaries in the shape of bread next to the bread ovens, a garden living...More

From the time we saw the documentary, The Gardener, last year, we vowed to visit. Rose early to buy tickets in December, and visited July 7. The movie was good, but the real thing is better, with the smells of nature added to the other...More

This is a must see for any serious gardener. It was wonderful to tour such a large private garden as opposed to a public one and to get some great ideas and inspiration for our own garden at home! Tours are only four times a...More

Les Jardins de Quatre-Vents is definitely worth a visit if gardens speak to you. It is, I think, one of the world’s great gardens, with a sense of peace and tranquility not often seen. The garden is semi-formal, much like Sissinghurst in Kent, UK. It...More

I was somewhat disappointed as I was expecting maybe too much after reading all of the reviews. This is a guided tour where instead of focussing on the flowers, the guide keeps reverting to Frank Cabot and how great was his vision and creativity. It...More

This garden is open only sparingly during the season - so check the website and plan your trip to the North Shore accordingly. It is well worth the visit - or a diversion from another part of the Province to take in this site. Charlevoix...More

It does not get better than this if you are an avid gardener and want to see how many lifetimes of work and vision can come together as a complete statement of beauty, philosophy and life. Stunning. Open to the public only 4 days a...More

This garden is only open to the public four days/year, none of which were when we were visiting Quebec. Luckily for us, some Quebec friends are members of the Ecological Society which owns (?), maintains (?) the garden. Of course, as one of the iconic...More
