Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place has a nice view with indoor and out door seating they even have sitting on the grass area but that is only for large groups. You can go out and take pictures with a great background .. looks like you can reserve tables so I would because this place gets busy.

Beautiful architecture, this winery is high on the hill with views of the entire valley. The wine making facility is modern and the wines are excellent. There is outdoor seating to enjoy the wines, a bite to eat and the view. Hot Tip: If you are planning on doing a tasting, I recommend the higher end tasting which is done in a private room with their best wines and a tour of the cellar. You will be impressed. We visited with our friends and were disappointed by the service. Intended to buy multi bottles of wine per person yet would not work with us on tastings. Industry standard in Napa, Sonoma, and Central Coast is to refund tastings when making a purchase but this place wouldn't budge on that. Employees are empowered about as much as the ones at an Indian Call Center. The wine maker was brought in to intervene and the first words out of his mouth were, "Is there a problem?" And he brought a security guard. Pretty insulting.
The arrogance at this place is astounding.
Skip the inside. Just bring your own bottle of wine and use their patio for the view.

The view was breathtaking, and combined with some really good wines and a nice cheese platter, made for a very agreeable afternoon. Highly recommended.

This is one of the most beautiful places I have been to in Ensenada, it is a great spot to have a great afternoon with friends or as a couple. The food is delicious and the wine helps. The red wine is a bit earthy and salty for my taste, but the sparkling one is quite good. If in Ensenada, Decantos is a must.

This location can get very busy perhaps cause of its location. Amazing food selection here as well as wine. Nice place to sit, relax and enjoy the distant views.

I’ve visited hundreds of wineries and never had an experience like this. Judging by other reviews I’m guessing the manager was not present the day we stopped in for a tasting.
They valley view was beautiful and the facility itself was fine but that’s the highlight Whois a real downer when wine tasting. They have a dog (Vino I think the name is) who jumps up on the tasting counter whether customers are present or not. The meat and cheese platter was poorly prepared and plopped down on our table with no description of its content. The service was at the very poor end of the scale. The wines were absolutely at the poor end of the scale.
Total disappointment indeed 👎🏻

My family recently visited here for a family member's birthday. We had a group of 8 adults and 8 young kids. The establishment was hoping busy, but the staff was very quick to lay out some blankets on the large lawn for us to enjoy some wine picnic style.
The views are stunning, no doubt about that. Our server was very hospitable and prompt despite having other large parties to help.
Sadly, both bottles of wine that we ordered (a malbec and a white) were highly disappointing, and we didn't finish them.
I will probably give this place another try just because wines are subjective and everything else about this establishment was enjoyable, but for now I have a bad taste in my mouth.

A group of us went to lunch at Decantos yesterday. The view from the dining area is just breathtaking, and the food was wondeful. I will definitely be coming back here. The wine that I had was delicious and fairly priced.

I loved the theory behind this vineyard creating vintages of 100% of their grapes. You really get to see how unique each varietal is and I am now in love with Carignan Grab a cheese plate, a bottle, and enjoy the view of the valley for an hour or so.

Suerte y buen viaje

What are your options to get there from the port?
Written 31 March 2017
Your best bet, I think, would be to buy a winery tour that includes Decantos. Uber or taxi would be another option but more expensive.
If you're there for more that part of the day, a rental would definitely be a better option; there is so much to see.
