The volcano know as the Estribo offers spectacular views of Lake Patzcuaro and the surrounding area. There is a new road to the top. Once there you can hike and even climb the steps to the very top of the mountain. Recommended.

Very rough road for part of route. We drove up and parked after we felt we had been shaken about enough! and then walked on only to find a newly paved route about 100 yards after parking! Easy walking to the mirador. Very hazy so...More

They are currently rebuilding the road in cobblestones and it will be beautiful when it's completed. There were no vendors at the mirador, maybe because they're rebuilding the road? I highly recommend this hike, it's about 3 hours return, and only the last section up...More

They're currently remodeling the road and ensuring that the original character is maintained. We went walking enjoying the shadow of the trees and the view along the way is very good, but as soon as you get to the top this becomes stunning. I LOVE...More

This is a great hike up to the observation point, maybe 3 miles from town (just a guess) and uphill most of the way. I walked Calle Ibarra to the west from town, through poor and middle class neighborhoods. Just keep heading uphill. This route...More

This attraction is easy to get to and you can take an easy hike or drive to the top. The view from the top is incredible and you can explore the area or just sit and view.

Take the cobblestone street up the hill to the best view of Lake Patzcuaro. Many jog or walk up the scenic road, but driving is easy also. From the Plaza Grande, take Ponce de Leon out of town and up the hill. You will not...More

You can park at the Autozone on the west side of town and start your hike there or you can drive all the way to the overlook if you'd prefer. This is a fairly easy hike of a couple of miles but it does go...More

It's a little difficult. You have to walk a lot or you can pay a taxi to take you to the top. I live near from there. I can help you whenever you want :)

No hay tours públicos a este lugar. Puedes pagar a un guía privado pero son algo caros. Te recomiendo venir en grupo y contratar a un guía privado para que te resulte más barato. Saludos.
