I was so fortunate to happen upon the yearly music festival in honor of Alamos' most famous historical figure, Dr Alfonso Ortiz Tirado. The live theatrical tour of the town starts here in the central courtyard of the town's historical museum. The actors were wonderful...More

This somewhat haphazard collection of quotidian items, gathered from various families, can seem thrown together at times, but collectively the exhibits offer a fascinating glimpse of bygone days in Alamos and Sonora. Alamos has a colorful and important history and the Museum presents it in approachable fashion. ( I can read a bit of Spanish so that helped)
