Lovely walks and never seems crowded especially on a weekday. Entrance is free except a nominal sum to enter the wetlands. ample free parking. Pleasnt restaurant with inside and outside seating. Perhaps a tad overpriced. Interesting gift shop. Although I mentioned the restaurant is a tad overpriced, where can one visit with no entrance fee and free parking?

Wide paths for waking and cycling, interesting terrain, with good information about the history of the stewartby brick works and local wildlife habitat on display boards. Stunning views of the lakes and Bedford landscape. Beautiful!

Love going here- the area is well maintained and the dog loves a walk round here. Cafe is a little expensive but profit goes to charity

I love Marston vale Forrest , beautiful scenery and the option of walks or cycling. (3 bikes to hire £17) (2 hours) I'd recommend an hour with smaller children, my teen and I cycled twice (11.5miles) in 40 minutes . We went inside the complex for lunch, which I find really overpriced. They have a park outside for the young... More

We visited this centre on numerous occasions over the Easter holidays with our 4 children and dog. So many nice walks and the play area and restaurant area are fab and so nice you can enjoy it with our dog too.

Completely wasted journey. The advertised bike hire on every day of the Easter holidays is a lie. Following the advice on the website yesterday we had rung to check on bikes for today. We were not told there would be any kind even though they knew they wouldn't. I understand they need to be serviced for safety but to lie... More

Hi Bridget, I'm very sorry that your planned day out was spoiled by the unscheduled closure of our bike hire. The bike hire is normally open daily but unfortunately on the day in question our bike hire partner was unavailable to carry out the necessary safety checks that are required before each bike is hired and so the bike hire... The visitor centre is very good and well designed and the forest walk will be so much better in time as the trees (and hundreds have been set if not thousands) are still quite young. Keep going though as it is worthy of support as a major regeneration of what was once an industrial wasteland.

I enjoyed walking around the lake but found the gorse bushes of which there were many not so kind to little fingers! The children enjoyed the play area and hot chocolate! Hopefully when we come again we will wander to a different field!
