Did you know that Buckingham has its own patron saint, a baby named Rumbold? Also that it once had its own police force and coinage? Just a few of the facts I learned on my visit to the town museum which you cannot miss upon arrival in the High Street since it dominates the skyline. The museum on two floors... More

A lovely local attraction centred in the middle of Buckingham. A beautifully preserved building, great displays and very interesting information provided about the local history of the town! Can recommend without reservation!

You can't miss the building if you're in Buckingham, it's situated right in the main street. It also houses the Tourist Information Centre. Entry at £3.50 was, I thought at first, a bit steep, but the museum is very well kept and the information is very well presented. You'll need around an hour to visit, and it's definitely worth it.... We went with our 3 granddaughters and we all had a jolly good time. All the exhibits were well kept and very informative on how people lived in times gone by. As our visit was in the school holidays the staff had organised a quiz which really added to the girls enjoyment and education. Well done do all those involved... More

If you are visiting or live in Buckingham you should really consider visiting the museum. It is fascinating and gives you a wonderful insight into what life was like in the area during the centuries. It is beautifully set out and displayed. The staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There is a very small gift shop to visit at the... More

We only saw this from the outside, but it is a stunning little building that is the real highlight of this small town. Do not miss seeing this, as it is beautiful. Unfortunately, it wasn't open when we were available to visit, which is a shame, but I have read some of the history of it and really wanted to... More

A pretty looking building (build in 18th century to stop the courts going to Aylsbury in vain) in the centre of Buckingham, costs a few pounds 3 I think, a bit of a mixture of stuff to see in the old cells, including displays about Buckingham, the old gaol, military in Buckingham, and something on the the author of lark...
