Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked for some bowling and some long awaited fun with our family friends bubble. We were told in great detail over phone about the mandatory social distancing and masks to be required by over 12s. We arrived and were given a repeat detailed instruction on our needing to mandatorily wear the masks for those of us who were over 12. One way system in place and separate area. Own shoes to be worn to reduce transmission risk. All seemed very reassuring. Then when we got to our bowling lane we looked over to the other customers and noticed not a single one of them was wearing a mask when all of them were obviously over 12. We immediately queried this with the young lad who was looking after the customers and to his credit he immediately went over to the management to ask the customers to replace their masks. Sadly only some of them complied. This made the entire experience feel uneasy and more importantly unfair for those of us who were making the effort. We were going to eat here but they have a limited covid menu and after we saw other customers not distancing correctly and not wearing masks we decided not to risk eating there.
This place only has a few lanes in operation so it should really have been easy for the staff to enforce the distancing rules. It also felt rather insulting that we had been strongly advised about the mandatory masks only to have to ask the staff to deal with all of their other customers not wearing them.
Won’t be coming back until there are no social distancing restrictions as it’s not a safe environment.
The place itself is reasonably priced for what you get. Under normal circumstances there is a better menu and bar and although still only a handful of lanes they are decent enough. It’s not a quality Hollywood bowl like experience but you can get a light hearted game of bowling in. Probably not the place for serious competitors. The kids play barn area is very well designed and had lots for the kids to do. Food was a bit shabby and over priced but typical for these type of places. Good for rainy play days with the kids. We have used the kids play area several times so had a lot of faith in having a good day there but the social distancing and lack of enforcement put pay to that.

We attended the bowling alley and have to say that the social distancing measures that they have put into place are excellent. There are separate walkways to your bowling lanes and only 1 of each pair of lanes is open. You do not need to touch the computer to enter your information as they do this at reception. Drinks are brought to your table and you have the wear your own shoes. All of the equipment is cleaned before and after you bowl. When we were there all the customers wore masks.
Well done to the team for allowing families to have fun in these troublesome times in a safe and friendly environment.

Group of 6 and group of 5 easily accommodated on Sat night due to (must do) booking before hand. Exceptionally helpful staff, implemented waiter service is great ( a bonus of coronvirus!)
Two of us now looking at returning and playing during daytime now at special prices.
Social distancing layout works well and full marks to Play2day in trying to offer enjoyment in these testing times!

Very nice place, not many places like this in Cambridgeshire. There is something to do for all the family from little tots to grandparents. Our 1.5 year old, 3.5 and 8 years old kids enjoy it greatly all the slides, jumping, ball playing climbing and running around. Will definitely visit again, especially the bowling, we are so blessed to have a place like that near us.
Thanks to all the stuff for making this possible.

We went bowling 6 adults and 3 kids under 13 and had a great afternoon.
Ramps for the little ones and the bars are programmed to come up for the correct players. We couldn’t get into Hollywood Bowl in Peterborough where we usually go and this was just as good.

Took the kids for an evening of bowling and what fun we had. There were strict COVID-19 measures in place, hand cleaning stations, table service to stop people moving around too much and one way systems. We had a great time as a family, it was really good to have a bit of “normality” in these strange times.

Visited here for the first time for the Halloween party. We were warmly greeted by staff at the door and on reception.
We had two 2 year olds so opted for the toddler section as obviously a lot of older children were enjoying the main apparatus. Very disappointed to find the toddler section was a free for all with 9 and 10 year olds charging through it, jumping into the ball pit while little ones were in it and generally causing a danger to them. I feel a staff member should have been there to monitor that due to the large volume of children there for the event. There was a staff member just stood in the role play village for the evening holding a cleaning spray doing absolutely nothing so she could have been better used there.
Role play village was cute with sone nice ideas but needed a few more accessories and sone replacing due to wear and tear.
Aside from the negatives we did enjoy the place. Most of the staff were really nice and the food we purchased was absolutely delicious!
Will hopefully return for a normal play session when it’s quieter.

While Play2Day has some good facilities, managements’ general attitude to people with special needs has, in my experience, been nothing short of shocking and discriminatory. My younger sister is non verbal, has severe autism, learning difficulties and sensory issues. Due to her complex sensory issues, she will ONLY eat and drink specific items in specific packaging. If she cannot have this, she is unable to eat or drink anything-it is not a choice, but part of her disability because she cannot physically tolerate certain textures and is unable to understand any changes. In light of this, we brought her orange juice (the only thing she drinks, which HAS to be in Tesco packaging) and a few snack items, and were more than willing to buy any other things from the counter for ourselves. However, as has been reported by other people with similar conditions, we were told she could not have her items, despite explaining that it is part of her disability and that we were planning to buy anything else for the rest of us. The front of house staff were very understanding but the managements’ attitude was one of blatant ignorance. Even some slight human touch would not have gone amiss. I will NEVER spend another penny here, which is a shame because my sister loved going here. Peterborough’s activity world have been far more welcoming, and we intend to spend our time here instead.

I brought my 9 month old baby here for the first time and the door opened and I walked in. staff were walking around and just want to ask some question . They were very rude and i just said why you are rude like that , some man came and he was rude is well said to me close now. I don't really understand this kind of people how run business.
Even if it was just this place left in Kesgrave, I still wouldn't go there for the activity.

Myself, husband and 8 year old son had a great afternoon with 2 games of bowling. Very well thought out and felt very safe in current conditions. Table service good... Would only suggest coming back to ask if we wanted another drink on our 2nd game. Otherwise a great family afternoon
