Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was taken to the railway carriage for breakfast for my Birthday and it was FANTASTIC! All home cooked and locally sourced food, and I suspect we walked past the chicken run where our eggs came from. Hayley was lovely and the railway carriage just added to the overall experience. The regular breakfast costs only £8.00 for a full plate and coffee or tea and toast is included too. We loved the whole experience.

Amazing service from Manor Farm's bakes and cakes. Provided a wide range of vegan options for a sharing platter which was great value. Everything home made and it all tasted incredible. Really impressed with the quality of food and how accommodating they were. Easy to arrange and book the food via Facebook and a simple collection on the day. Will definitely be returning.

I stayed 2 nights in my campervan, the pitches for over night stops are very big in aovely fiiel! The walks to 3 woods are fabulous for dog walkers. My daughter, and son along with a friend and children visited me and we had the most gorgeous food from the railway carriage cafe! They let is have the food on the grass as a picnic near to the small children's play area! We had yummy sandwiches, sausage rolls with wholesome pork, homemade jam, cream and the lightest moist scones, the Victoria sandwich cake was the lightest I have ever tried! Mary Berry would be impressed! All in all a livy place to visit, to walk and enjoy a nice drunk and food to die for! 5*****

Stayed for 1 night in a campervan, as a family with a 3 and 4 year old. Had the place to ourselves and would happily return. Lovely sheltered grass pitch, clean toilets, hot shower, fresh water point to fill up.
There is a communal fire pit area and sheltered picnic area. Small childrens play area with a handmade climbing frame, swings, mud kitchen and some reclaimed ride-ons, all of which our children loved getting dirty whilst playing with.
We had takeaway sauage rolls, scones and cakes from the quaint little railway carriage, all of which were delicious.
Friendly owners who were happy to help without being over bearing. Thank you.

Having been met by Alan by the main gateway, we were provided with direction to the car park and other site facilities. We had pre-booked the dog field for three spaniels. There was plenty of room in this fully enclosed area. Fresh water was available for the dogs along with some agility equipment and the much appreciated poo bin.

Lunch afterwards in the railway carriage was delicious. Hayley provided us with four hot main meals and copious amount of tea and coffee. Sadly, no room left for dessert!

We loved Alan & Hayley’s ethos and passion for nature and the local community. We look forward to returning soon.

Firstly this place has so much potential! It is a brilliant idea.
Positives:Free area for walking, small woodland, attempt at childrens area, homemade seesaw free off road parking, carriage idea is genius, food in tearoom is delicious, flexible about payment, nice wooden signs, benches dotted around
Negatives: Toilet is in a caravan and described by my friend as "for emergencies only". If you are serving sit down food I believe you need to offer a proper toilet preferably with running water, maybe a small composting affair in its own little shed? Musty smell in the carriage, possibly as not being as frequently used currently but easy to fix. Bit of attention to play area, couple of broke spatulas in kitchen and go kart which wouldnt go. Entrance, you have to drive past worksheds etc with old cars maybe some screening would help?

I understand this is a free facility and its a great idea just needs a bit of tlc to make it fantastic. Perhaps an honesty shop would help with funds?

Called in for lunch and a walk around the farm. It was recommended by a friend. Very quaint railway carriage serving a good collection of food and drinks. Friendly owners and gave good service. Lovely walk around the farm. Clean toilets. Planning on going back another day very soon. Would recommend a visit.

Sadly this place is not as advertised. Could be a wonderful place but run down and tea room closed.! Play area very in kept and dirty. We met another family who like us were looking to to take the dog for a walk and then just have a coffee after. Place looked abandoned but there was clearly a couple around who took no interest in us. ! Don't understand what they are trying to do?

A lovely nature walk where your sure to see something interesting. The owner too is so very nice and helpful. I look forward to coming back and tasting his wife's home made baking. Good luck to them both they are doing something so very good for our local community. Thank you.

We visited for a Sunday lunch a few weeks ago and had a great experience. We certainly hadn’t eaten Sunday lunch and train carriage before!

The food was great and the staff were lovely.

I’d recommend a visit.
