I came back to the town for a visit after many decades of being away. I remember being a 7 year old visiting the museum on a school trip. I partly went back in on memory lane trip and a curiosity trip. It really is a gem, amazing local artifacts and very helpful staff. My hour visit turned into three... More

Well worth the trip especially if you are visiting Peckover House. There is so much to see in this little museum as the collections span centuries. So many artifacts on show that were found locally will give you a real taste of life in the area from Roman to the present day. There is a little bit for every age... More

Visited and found that the exhibition room theme is insects. Large cars on disk pay from the Elgoods insect collection. Interesting books and items for sale in shop. Visits free but donation box suggests a contribution of £1 per head. Good value!

Lots to see, is done over 2 floors. Good local history and very friendly, helpful staff. Small gift shop which is very reasonably priced.

I have been going to the museum since I was a little girl and visited with my children regularly and am now taking my young grandaughters. We all love it, it is really special! Whatever you are interested in there is something for you. My favourite is the old shop display. There are activities for children in the holidays which... More

As a teacher at a local school I have been in here quite a few times with the kids. The museum is quite small but is great for local history. It has information in regard to Sessions House and artifacts from the old cells when Session used to be a court house with cells. The museum is free to look... More

An interesting place to visit on a wet day or when the suns shining. Helpful staff and nice shop. One of the best museums of its size and age. Free but donations welcome.

This was a really nice day out, the museum's is full of interesting things to see and the staff are absolutely lovely. Its not really suitable for small kids but older kids, teenagers and adults will love it. The architecture is fascinating, in fact the museum is surrounded by nice finds if you like buildings. Part of David Copperfield was... More

Visited in March and pleased to see that the Museum was open and better still free entry. The Museum is small but very interesting and there are plenty of things on display to see. Parking is close by just a short walk away and its situated just outside the main shopping areas. Worth visiting if you are in Wisbech.any time... More
