As a Methodist this is a must-see. I learned so much about the "Prims" and why this group broke away from Methodism in the early 1800's. The volunteers there are so friendly and knowledgeable, and the tea room was a nice place to rest after...More

Always been interested to visit because we drive past regularly and finally took the time to stop. It's quite small but an interesting insight into what a small chapel like this would have been like. There is a small chapel and a museum to look...More

An interesting little group of buildings illustrating the history of the independent Methodists, of whom I knew nothing. I found the museum the best part and the staff were very friendly. There is easy parking and a little café.

A trip here is a mixed one. The museum part is good but the chapel itself is a bit in need of further money for refurbishment. The little café is fairly basic but the staff very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful.

Having recently visited this small hidden gem, we would really recommend visiting this lovely attraction. There is good parking across from the chapel & museum, with the chapel graveyard (where Hugh Bourne leader of the Primitive Methodist movement is buried), situated next to it. Also,...More
