As a Methodist this is a must-see. I learned so much about the "Prims" and why this group broke away from Methodism in the early 1800's. The volunteers there are so friendly and knowledgeable, and the tea room was a nice place to rest after the visit.

It is true that unless you visit you don't know what there is. Plus points: Warm welcome No entry fee! Repeat no entry fee- donations welcomed. Lovely cosy tea room. Stunning rural location. Convenient car park. If you think Methodist chapels are musty and unattractive come here- this is clean attractive and welcoming. Yes special interest to those involved in Methodism but this too is part of North Staffordshire and Cheshire culture.

Always been interested to visit because we drive past regularly and finally took the time to stop. It's quite small but an interesting insight into what a small chapel like this would have been like. There is a small chapel and a museum to look around. The 2 ladies were helpful and helped make the visit more fun, dressing my daughter up and giving her things to play with. Could have stayed much longer but we had to head out. Enjoyable and worth making the effort to visit.

An interesting little group of buildings illustrating the history of the independent Methodists, of whom I knew nothing. I found the museum the best part and the staff were very friendly. There is easy parking and a little café.

there is a friendly welcome. Good collection of early Methodist memorabilia. The museum caters for school parties giving pupils a feeling of what it was like to be a child in bygone days. Good parking except when a special event is on when neighbours allow visitors to park on their land. Very friendly village.
