Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I absolutely love this walk, when you walk up and round and are struck by the most magnificent view of Liverpool.

Lived in the area for 16 years now and Tooked away in Ellesmere Port, rivacre valley always provides a place to go to lighten up your mood, often quiet you can hear the birds as you walk through! Amazing place to walk your dogs or even to get some fresh air!

The council make this place look great
Shame there’s a weirdo running around with a knife
I don’t walk here anymore
There’s drug deals at night and the flasher the police can’t find
Last time I walked around here in earlier this year there was a pair of underpants on the foot path
Say no more !!!

Don't miss out on nature we have a fragile environment and it needs our help
animals birds and creatures don’t understand what the world is going through but they do understand kindness. Open your eyes look and listen the reward is worth it it wont take to much for you to become aware “we human beings” are not the only ones inhabiting our planet.
The park does need more doing to it 7+ kilometres of wood land and the council did 300 metres of upgrading a few paths i mean wow hay “open their eyes also” but don't be put off well worth a visit the more the merrier keeping your distance easy to do think of others around you stay safe and aware of your surroundings.

Take a walk through the quiet woodland walks, along Rivacre Brook, see the wildlife, birds and flowers. It really is a great place to take a stroll.

Nice little wooded area divided by an A road with a Brook running through it. If parking in the ranger car park beware the descent is abit steep to start with as you go down into the valley. Great for dog walks of just a relaxing walk, from the ranger car park you can walk all the way to St Paul's Church in hooton

This lovely nature reserve is between Eastham and Ellesmere Port,it is not far from the M53 motorway and has a free car park.
There is a rangers office available and also a picnic bench and bird feeding station.
Rivacre used to have an outside swimming pool which was very popular in its day, however it was closed in 1982 as the cost was too high for it to be maintained.
There are notice boards by the rangers office/car park of walking routes.
The paths are clear and lea you in different directions around the valley itself. You can hear all the various species of birds as you walk around. There are some benches where you can sit and relax and also bins available nearby.
Te nature park continues on the opposite side of the country road and this is where you can see Rivacre Brook and watch out for wagtails flying around there whilst also keeping an eye out for the kingfisher.
As you walk through the nice woodland, you can take in the peace and quiet and enjoy the wildlife and wild flowers in the meadow.
There are only a couple of benches on this part of the nature reserve so it is nice if you are able to get a seat to relax.
The paths are signposted well and it is also very popular with the dog walkers.
There are bins available for your dog waste bags, however i did come across some paths where people had been inconsiderate and not cleaned up after their dog.
A nice place to visit and good for photography if you enjoy the wildlife and wild flowers.
