Getting up close with sharks has always been a goal of mine but I had never even snorkeled before this experience, so when I got the shark encounter as a gift, I was pretty amazed (scared). I went to the aquarium with my partner for a visit a few weeks before the shark encounter. We both loved it there. We... More

Lovely aquarium although smaller and more expensive than some of the others we have visited. We enjoyed watching the shark/ray feeding up close but felt that paying for parking and entrance fee of £17 each made it an expensive way to spend a couple of hours.

Kids enjoyed it, best bit was the shark tunnel. Very expensive for what you get and the feeding of the otters was a real let down

Visited with family for a birthday treat for my partner who is an aquatic fanatic. This was our first visit. Having been to a lot of Sea Life Centres in the UK, we found this quite small however the tunnel and theatre window were brilliant. Entrance fees are expensive then there's car park fee on top. Cafe queues were long... More

Really fun place to visit for all the family. Loads of different sealife animals to see and really fun. Will definitely be visiting here again soon.

Well signed externally and internally. Quite expensive for a visit that has to be padded out. The catering was ok but queueing and wait marred the process. Not impressed with anything really - the one bright spot was the Pirates Playground that kept the 7 year old amused for 10 minutes.

I did really enjoy my time here. I visited as a child and was nice to come back. A lot smaller than I remember. The pricing is quite steep seeing as you can see the whole thing within an hour and charging for parking also ??? Cmon... Would recommend but not as a regular activity as it'd cost a fortune!!

Hi TravelWithMe15 and thank you for posting your review and really pleased that you enjoyed your visit. I agree that paying separately for repeat visits would cost somewhat, however our Annual Pass is just £45.90 which is less than three visits. With a child's pass at just 333.08, they make perfect sense and will allow you to enjoy all of... More

My partner and I visited his family for a few days and he took us all to Blue Planet for an afternoon out. Such a great experience as soon as you step through the door. It was quiet but the families that were there with their small children looked like they were having a fantastic time. The highlight is the... More

The Blue Planet Aquarium is a lovely family day out. The most wonderful part of the experience is travelling through the glass tunnel, with fish of all colours, shapes and sizes, including sharks and rays, swimming just above your head and on either side. You can travel through on a moving walkway, gliding as majestically as the fish around you,... More

Hi deverestackpole and thank you so much for your wonderful review. I am delighted that you enjoyed your family visit, and seeing the collection of sharks through the walkway is truly memorable. I will find out why the ice cream was not on offer on the day of your visit, it is not franchised so we need to investigate. I... More
