Wonderful place to walk along the canal from, take a coffee with friends or indeed visit the historic Salt works ... best to take a tour and learn about the lives of the workers etc ... a wonderful place! Staff are hugely helpful!

Went here to see the Salt Works very good exhibits and wel explained. Recommend a visit staff helpful and happy to answer questions - cafe good too

Spent a very interesting 3 hours here with an informative tour by a volunteer guide. Lots of information to revisit after the tour including taped stories from workers and restored parts of salt production here Well worth a visit with good parking and play area...More

Yes it sells souvenir packs of salt , but they do not produce salt at this works any longer

Confirming other reply Yes a free and pleasant car park which is only feet away from main enterance and also has kiddies facilities and side exit to the canal walk.Which you should also consider .
