Visited on a very cold Friday in February and was surprised to find that the price per child had increased to £5 and in addition you pay for food to feed the few animals. Come on owners. A reduced winter price would bring in more visitors. Not good value in winter. Great venue for a day out with little ones... More

We were recently visiting Cheshire and heading for a farm shop when we spotted Wheelock Farm as a possible alternative to our destination. We were just looking for tea and cake and a decent farm shop for supplies. Having pulled in to the car park we spotted the big sign saying dogs weren't welcome. Given we had the dog and... More

We had a breakfast here at £6.75 each no drink included and only one piece of toast, which was overcooked and extremely poor, like it had been stood for hours waiting for a microwave warm up, the cutlery was dirty and this place was nearly empty which says it all, prices are outrageous and we definitely won't be visiting again... Waited for a meal for ages and ages. Not that best meal I've had. Children's area is really expensive and it's just wooden swings and other wooden stuff. What a rip off you even have to pay for food to feed there animals, how clever is that, like I said not good

We love the afternoon tea, shop and garden centre. First rate place to visit for all the family. I disagree that it's expensive - you get what you pay for!

I've always loved wheelock farm as a afternoon out with my family. However my little boy is only 17months. He is too young to feed the animals or play on most of the playarea. I believe £5 to just be too much of an entry fee for children of his age. Especially on top of the cafe and shop

The kids love this place.... but it's a tad on the expensive side. Not an every weekend type of place but more once a year.

We have visited on numerous occasions and the food is great. We love the outside play area and the new indoor facility is good to. But, to charge £5 for a child of 18 months is crazy...we can go to a bigger, and at this time of year a warmer, indoor play centre which offers a lot more for less......please... More

When my grandchildren visit me they love coming to the farm to see the animals and play on the equipment in the play park. The cost used to be £2.50 per child then it went to £3. I did not mind this amount taking into account that the play park has to be maintained. Last year it went up to... More
